On August 8th, 2024, Illinois officially passed HB2363, which bans the sale or distribution fluorescent lighting technology.Â
Beginning 2026, the ban will be effective for screw-base and bayonet-base type compact fluorescent blubs (CFLs).
Beginning 2027, the ban will be effective for pin-base type CFLs, as well as linear fluorescent tubes.
